The background should be taken as a metaphor. With the metal wall I wanted to show their friendship - as a strong, almost unbreakable bond. Almost. There isn't a perfect relationship between people (ponies in this case). Even the best of friends can have an argument which can change everything in their lives. And that what symbolises the crack in the middle.

aight man, ive done a few critiques in my day, and all i have to say is........epic epic epic!!!!!! these are my two (out of three )favorite characters, and i know the conflict between these two sometimes. the name seems to fit absolutly perfectly with the pic, it seems like neither is scared of either one of eachother and there just ready to fight back when they get the chance. they are two of the toughest ponies out there, and i feel like you hit there character just perfectly. now the backround...........eeeeeehhhhhhh-fuckin amazing. i understnd your reasoning for it to be a metaphore, makes perfect sense, and i love the feeling that it can just blow at any second. like, one false move, if a feather lands in the wrong place, its just done. i mean, just fuck man, ive said everything i can say. amazing man, just amazing work. keep doing things like this. mabey even shipping. im not big into that, butyou seem like youd be amazing at it. so, congrats man on mkaking this the best peice of work ive ever seen. also, listen to this song while looking at the pic [link]

This is my first ever critique guys, so please bear with me.

When people say a picture is worth a thousand words. I think this image is exactly what they mean. This image is basic in color and depth and I think that is something it has playing overall in its favor. It pulls all of these basic elements together forming a story that is filled with emotion.

All I can do is sit here and look to the image and imagine what lead these two characters, no. What lead these two friends to this very heated confrontation. That in itself speaks volumes about this image. It not only satisfies you on a ascetic level. It also stimulates your imagination and curiosity.

The emotions & expressions are absolutely satisfying. Only being topped by the deep and dark atmosphere. That is what makes this image nerve-racking yet beautiful at the same time. It seems at any moment somepony will do something that would set off a chain reaction. That detail sets me on the edge when I look to this picture.

I only have one problem with this image and its probably just me. I dislike the background. I can only assume its a metaphor? I just didnt really understand what it meant so it kinda left me wondering.

Other than that this image was the tops and definitely worth the high score. Hope my first ever critique was satisfactory. I am proud to say that I got to critique such a beautiful piece.
